Doctrine of Signatures and Essential Oil Therapy

Sunday, October 22nd, 2017 * 9:00 am – 1:00 pm

The Doctrine of Signatures is the art of knowing from the outer appearance of a plant, or morphology, what its medicinal and energetic qualities are. In addition to a plants appearance – which includes shape and color - the taste, smell, touch or texture can also provide insights into the medicinal applications of a plant. Essential oils extracted from plant seeds, resins, leaves, flowers, wood, needles and citrus peels will be explored.

Participants will have the opportunity to create actively with their chosen oils, making a take home perfume, room spray and nourishing lotion.

Creating remedies and natural perfumes from this perspective can profoundly help an individual on physical, emotional and energetic levels.

Location - VT Center for Integrative Herbalism, Main Street, Montpelier
Cost- $80.00 (70.00 if you register by 10/1)
Facilitated by Lauren Andrews RN, Clinical Aromatherapist,
Essential Oil Educator
