CBD FAQs

What is hemp?

Hemp comes from cannabis sativa plants, high in CBD (cannabidiol), below 0.3% THC, and does not cause any psychotropic effects. Industrial hemp is legal for licensed farmers to grow. Industrial hemp is legal across the United States and most of the world.

What makes our hemp different?  Where is AroMed’s hemp sourced from? How is it classified?

AroMed’s industrial hemp-derived products are produced from 100% organic plants grown at Sandiwood Farm, in Wolcott, Vermont. The full-spectrum CO2 hemp extract used in our products is extracted from the hemp plants flowers and not from seeds, by the professional chemists at Cattis Scientific in Hardwick, Vermont. Many other hemp-derived products sold in the US today are sourced from overseas, and may contain heavy metals and/or pesticides, and do not begin to meet the high standards AroMed holds itself to. AroMed’s hemp extract is in full compliance with the Vermont Department of Agriculture’s industrial hemp program. Since these plants contain significantly less than 0.3% THC, they are classified as industrial hemp under federal and state law.

Do you test your CBD Hemp extract?

AroMed’s CBD CO2 hemp oil is extracted and tested internally by Cattis Scientific. Testing is conducted on all CBD raw materials, which are held to exacting standards of purity and consistency. AroMed also works with MCR, an independent quality control lab, for third party validation, further ensuring the quality of AroMed’s CBD CO2 used in all our CBD offerings.
